The adult National Minimum Wage is the statutory rate for ages 20+. Younger employees have separate bands at 90%, 80%, and 70% of adult. Sectoral Employment Orders may set higher sector floors. Board and lodgings reckonable amounts (meals €1.27/hour worked; accommodation only €33.42/week or €4.77/day) are not separate wage bands. Craft apprentices are generally excluded from NMW.
