Understanding Uganda Tax System
Uganda uses a Progressive Income Tax System where tax rates increase with income. The tax system includes income tax and NSSF contributions. High earners can face rates up to 40%.
2026 Tax Brackets:
- 0% - Up to UGX 2,350,000
- 10% - UGX 2,350,001 to UGX 4,100,000
- 20% - UGX 4,100,001 to UGX 10,000,000
