Peru uses a Progressive Income Tax System where tax rates increase with income. The tax system is administered by SUNAT (Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria) and uses UIT (Unidad Impositiva Tributaria) as a reference unit for tax brackets and exemptions.
